BBS Telecom IPS 416 Phone System

The BBS Telecom IPS 416 has been a great phone system. It supports 4 incoming phone lines and 16 extensions. You can use either a system phone or any standard phone on any extension. I have 4 system phones, 4 standard phones, 1 modem and Comfort all using extensions. As far as I can tell, the 56K modem speed is NOT hurt by connecting through the IPS 416.

The best feature of the IPS 416 is its Auto Attendant. The auto attendant answers after the second ring and plays this message to the caller: "If you are a telemarketer hang up now, otherwise press zero to reach Dan and Sally". We have only received 1 telemarketer call since the summer of 1997!

The phones don't ring until the caller presses 0. So, all we hear is the caller id announcement, made by ACE. If we are in bed, or have the speakers muted, we don't hear anything.
